"
Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering performance belongs to
ATI for sure, especially at the higher resolutions."
DriverHeaven
"
Surprisingly though the performance we achieved was first class.
On our test system bases round the A64 FX53, X800 Pro and 1gb
of PC3200 memory the frame rates never dropped below playable
at 1600x1200."
VR-Zone
"
The X800 based cards that we saw were able to give the best performance
at high resolutions with Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering
enabled, and therefore I do have confidence in saying that
the ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition will be the fastest graphics
card for games based on the Source Engine, particularly Half
Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source."
Firing-Squad
"
ATI’s X800 cards clearly come out ahead in Valve’s
video stress test, as do the Radeon 9800’s over GeForce
FX."
"
Most surprising is how well older cards did, particularly those
from ATI. Those who invested in 9700 and 9800
series cards a
year ago for the original expected release date of Half-Life
2 should be quite pleased, the stress test runs excellently on
them."
