    PCI Express - Enabling the Visual Age

    Computex Taipei 2004 was Asia's most influential global IT event and has been the focal point for participants to gain first hand knowledge on new industry trends for the past 23 years. Numerous exhibitors were given the opportunity to demonstrate their leading edge technologies to inquisitive decision makers . This year Computex Taipei consisted of four full exhibition halls with over 1,329 exhibitors using over 2,813 booths. At Computex Taipei 2004, ATI was proud to demonstrate world acclaimed Multimedia, Workstation, Desktop, Mobile, DTV and Integrated technology solutions in 7 meeting rooms, an All-in-Wonder® lounge area, an HDTV lounge area with Xilleon chip, an IGP Motherboard Wall, and an AIB partner wall.

    ATI's PCI Express Technology Demo
    Many eager visitors witnessed the means through which ATI has helped develop the specifications for PCI Express technology. PCI Express provides greater bandwidth with its higher performance and advanced architecture as well as many new features that make it an ideal graphics interconnect for ATI's next-generation industry-revolutionizing graphics technologies. The demonstration illustrated the superior processing power of a PCI Express System vs. an AGP system.

    Microsoft Windows Media Extender technology Demo
    ATI's guests also experienced digital entertainment with ATI's Xilleon Chip and Microsoft's new Windows Media Extender technology. This sleek and quiet device enabled Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 to be enjoyed remotely on TVs and monitors in the home, at the Microsoft Media Extender Lounge.
