Dell selects ATI's Mobility™ M4 chip for Inspiron™ 8000 and Latitude™ C800 notebook PCs

Markham, Ontario, Canada - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today announced that its Mobility™ M4 chip has been selected by Dell Corporation to provide the graphics and video acceleration for the Dell Inspiron™ 8000 and Dell Latitude™ C800 notebook PCs.

The Mobility™ M4 chip delivers optimal 3D applications on the largest notebook LCD screens available. The Mobility™ M4 AGP (accelerated graphics port) 4X interface doubles the former AGP 2X transfer speed, providing improved acceleration for mobile 3D applications, and higher quality DVD images, including on dual monitor displays.
