    ATI's Radeon® card included in IBM's NetVista™ A60i

    Tuesday, December 5, 2000

MARKHAM, Ontario - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced that its All-in-Wonder® Radeon® multimedia and graphics board has been selected by IBM Corporation for use in its new IBM NetVista™ A60i consumer desktop personal computer in the U.S. and European markets.

The All-in-Wonder Radeon is the ideal graphics and multimedia solution for leading-edge PC systems. It features ATI's Radeon Graphics Processor with 32 megabytes of DDR memory, providing gamers and other PC users with the exceptional graphics power that offers a compelling experience. The All-in-Wonder Radeon also brings Personal Video Recorder (PVR) technology to the PC platform and includes a digital visual interface (DVI), stereo TV tuner, DVD playback with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and video output.

"The IBM NetVista series of desktop systems is known for style, ease of use, and fast connectivity," says Brian Dalgetty, IBM NetVista director of marketing. "ATI's All-in-Wonder Radeon card enables IBM to set apart our new NetVista Pentium 4 offerings, adding exciting new graphics and home entertainment features ahead of our competitors."

The All-in-Wonder Radeon will ship in IBM's new NetVista A60i systems along with other state-of-the-art components, including the latest Intel® Pentium® IV 1.4 or 1.5 gigahertz processor, 128 MB of RDRAM and a DVD drive.

"As its very name suggests, All-in-Wonder Radeon delivers an entire spectrum of spectacular multimedia and graphics capabilities," said Vincent Win, vice president, strategic sales, ATI Technologies Inc. "Thanks to this phenomenal graphics board, users of IBM's new NetVista line of desktop PCs will be able to capture and edit MPEG-2 video, enjoy fast photo-realistic 3D graphics, create home movies, search for programs at a click of the mouse, watch DVDs or experience larger-than-life gaming on their big-screen TVs."

Since it was announced in August, All-in-Wonder Radeon has already received rave reviews in print and on-line publications. Leading tech news source CNET, in its prestigious online Editors' Choice column, awarded it a nine out of 10 rating, while Tom's Hardware extolled the All-in-Wonder Radeon for its "superior video hardware/software performance, functionality and value."
