    ATI graphics chips and boards ship in new Apple desktop and mobile products

    MARKHAM, Ontario - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced, at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, that its graphics chips and boards are included in Apple's new desktop and mobile products for the professional/creative and consumer markets worldwide.

    ATI's RAGE™ 128 PRO 16 MB (megabyte) AGP (accelerated graphics port) 4X graphics chip will be featured in Apple's Power Mac G4™ computer for the professional/creative desktop market. The RAGE 128 PRO offers exceptional 2D and 3D performance and a host of multimedia features, including DVD decoding. ATI's RAGE 128 PRO is currently featured in Apple's line of line of iMac™ computers for the consumer desktop market.

    Apple's Power Mac G4 is also available with ATI's Radeon® 32 MB AGP 4X graphics processor. The Power Mac G4 is the first Apple product to use AGP 4X, which doubles the AGP 2X transfer speed found in current competing desktop graphics solutions, and will provide end-users with new levels of 3D realism, industry-leading graphics speed and DVD capabilities.

    ATI's RAGE Mobility™ 128 will be used in Apple's latest PowerBook™ for the professional/creative mobile market. The RAGE Mobility 128 provides the multimedia functionality of desktop computers, including DVD decoding, in a space saving solution that is ideal for notebooks.
