ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT), a world leader in the supply of graphics, video and multimedia solutions, today announced the introduction of the DV WONDER™, the ideal digital video editing tool for the consumer and commercial computer upgrade markets.
The FireWire® (IEEE 1394) board fits easily into any free PC desktop PCI (peripheral component interconnect) slot and enables digital video camcorder users to swiftly transfer and edit high quality digital video on their desktop computers. DV WONDER will ship in North America at the end of June.
With more than 18 million FireWire digital video camcorders in use today (according to Cahners In-Stat Group), coupled with the growing popularity for FireWire devices, the DV WONDER is the best solution for digital video editing on the personal desktop computer.
With a suggested retail price of only (US) $49, ATI’s DV WONDER comes complete with Ulead Systems’ newest video editing software, VideoStudio™ 5.0, and a free connector cable for easy hook up to a digital video camcorder. FireWire is a high-speed interface technology that connects consumer electronic devices to personal computers. The DV WONDER is compatible with any FireWire-enabled device including hard-drives, scanners, digital VCRs, digital cameras and other peripheral devices in addition to digital video camcorders.
