    ATI Mobility™ Radeon® technology gains widespread market acceptance in just nine months

    Powerful, feature-packed mobile GPU now shipping in 15 new notebooks

    Monday, November 5, 2001

    MARKHAM, Ontario – ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT), the world’s number one notebook graphics supplier, announced today that its Mobility™ Radeon® graphics processor has become the industry’s most popular performance mobile graphics chip just nine months after its introduction.

    Introduced in February, 2001, Mobility Radeon is now shipping in 15 notebook designs by nine of the world’s top notebook manufacturers.

    “The sheer volume of design wins garnered by the ATI Mobility Radeon graphics processor in such a short time period is impressive,” said Christine Arrington, Vice-President, Jon Peddie Associates. “Mobility Radeon’s performance, features and adaptability across different form factors and segments have clearly struck a chord with OEMs.”

    Mobility Radeon is optimized for Microsoft's Windows XP operating system, which brings significant advances in digital media, Internet communications and personal productivity to notebook users.
