ATI's Xilleon™ 220 Selected by HUMAX For IP Set-top Box
ATI's advanced technology delivers in the IP broadband market

MARKHAM, Ontario - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY,
NASDAQ:ATYT) announced today that Xilleon™ 220 has been
selected by HUMAX Co. Ltd. for the RG-3010 IP set-top box
(STB). ATI's Xilleon 220 is an advanced and highly integrated
system-on-chip suitable for a range of digital devices including
set-top boxes and digital televisions.
The HUMAX RG-3010 is an IP (internet protocol) based VOD
(video-on-demand) set-top box. VOD is provided with MPEG
(Moving Picture Experts
Group) streaming over Ethernet, xDSL or Cable.

to deliver the most versatile and low-cost IP set-top box,”

features such as video streaming, high quality sound reproduction,
an interactive EPG (electronic program guide), a variety of
peripheral connections and much more. ATI is most certainly

is proud to partner with them for the RG-3010.”
Xilleon 220 integrates into a single chip all processor,
graphics, video, audio, and I/O (input and output) capabilities
needed in a set-top box or digital TV. Included are a 300
MHz MIPS® CPU (central processing unit), dual-HD (high
definition) capable MPEG decoder, audio decoder, dual display
engine, 2D and 3D graphics engine, conditional access, transport
demultiplexers, PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect), USB
(universal serial bus), and hard disk drive interfaces.

ATI Technologies will exhibit its DTV technologies at International
CES in booth 31145 (south hall) January 9-12, 2003 in Las
Vegas, Nevada.
