ATI teams with Arrow Electronics, significantly expanding availability of embedded graphics products to the Americas
New distribution channel allows many more embedded systems designers access to exceptional graphics solutions

MARKHAM, Ontario – ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY,
NASDAQ:ATYT) announced today that Arrow Electronics, Inc.
(NYSE:ARW) will provide ATI’s industry leading graphics
chips throughout the Americas. This agreement with Arrow greatly
expands ATI’s distribution channel and makes ATI one
of the most widely available graphics solutions providers
to embedded systems designers.
Arrow Electronics is a leading distributor of electronic
components and computer products and a leading provider of
services to the electronics industry. Arrow serves as a supply
channel partner for more than 600 suppliers and over 150,000
original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers,
and commercial customers through more than 193 sales facilities
and 21 distribution centers in 40 countries.

Board Computer (SBC) market, are developing systems that require

The embedded displays market is expanding with new applications
for graphics chips such as medical imaging for surgical instrumentation
and diagnostics, POS and ATM terminals, arcade gaming and
visualization systems. ATI’s product offerings for the
embedded display market leverages the award-winning Radeon
and Mobility graphics product line including the most recent
Mobility™ Radeon® 9000 generation, which features
integrated video memory for various uses up to 64MB in size.
ATI provides the most advanced AGP (accelerated graphics
port) and PCI (peripheral component interconnect) graphics
technology along with the highest level of integration to
address the needs of applications demanding more and more
2D and 3D acceleration, low power consumption, independent
multi-monitor support at maximum resolutions with integrated
TMDS (Transmission Minimized Differential Signaling) transmitter
and integrated LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Sampling) to
enable support of flat panel displays, integrated memory,
and TV-out.
