ATI First To Market with Mobile PCI
Express Graphics Solutions
Mobility™ Radeon® X600 and
AXIOM™ usher in a new era of ATI mobile graphics leadership for PCI Express

MARKHAM, Ontario – ATI Technologies
Inc. (TSX:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT), the global leader for mobile graphics,
today announced Mobility™ Radeon® X600, the industry’s
first mobile PCI Express graphics processor, along with AXIOM™,
a modular design innovation for PCI Express notebook upgradeability.
ATI’s mobile PCI Express solutions will be employed by
more than sixteen of the industry’s leading OEM and ODM
designers including, Acer, Arima, ASUS, Clevo, ECS, eMachines,
FIC, Gateway, HP, Inventec, LG, Mitac, Samsung, Quanta, Uniwill
and Wistron. The launch of Mobility Radeon X600 and AXIOM will
take place on June 3rd at a gala event in Taipei, Taiwan.

With the introduction of Mobility Radeon X600, ATI introduces
the first in a family of mobile PCI Express graphics processors.
With numerous design wins out of the gate, Mobility Radeon X600
builds on the industry-leading feature set and performance of
Mobility Radeon 9700. New features on Mobility Radeon X600 include
LCD-EE™, an enhanced display architecture for high-resolution
widescreen panel support, and LCD latency reduction. Mobility
Radeon X600 will also support PowerPlay™ 5.0, a power management
solution optimized for PCI Express. With Mobility Radeon X600,
users enjoy high-performance graphics capable of handling today’s
most visually demanding applications, and the security of knowing
they have the headroom to leverage the future benefits of PCI
Express.
As the industry pioneer in upgradeable graphics with such technologies
as FlexFit™, ATI now introduces a new path forward with
AXIOM for PCI Express. A flexible and modular approach, AXIOM
enables OEM and ODM designers to easily develop notebooks that
can accommodate upgradeable modules for graphics and enhanced
multimedia. Over the coming months, ATI will introduce a family
of AXIOM modules for performance notebooks.

PCI Express strategy that was tailored to meet OEM and ODM needs
of performance, power management and time-to-market.
