ATI IS ALL THE RAGE WITH GATEWAY!

    • ATI'S RAGE FURY 16MB SELECTED FOR GATEWAY™ 'PERFORMANCE' PCs AIMED AT THE CONSUMER DESKTOP PC MARKET

ATI has announced that Gateway has selected ATI's RAGE FURY 16MB high-performance graphics add-in board to compliment to their range of Performance PCs for the consumer desktop market.

The RAGE FURY 16MB add-in boards are built around the award-winning RAGE 128 chip, a 128 bit graphics and multimedia accelerator. By utilising the power of this chip, the RAGE FURY 16MB gives visually stunning 3D graphics at incredible 3D speeds. Offering high resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 it accelerates all games including DirectX, Direct 3D and OpenGL games.

"The RAGE 128 has been praised by leading computer publications and industry analysts for its remarkable 3D graphics and multimedia ability," said Simon Greer, ATI UK Country Manager. "With the performance PC series, the RAGE FURY 16MB with its RAGE 128 chip will deliver all the best that the latest in 3D entertainment can offer the demanding end users of Gateway's consumer desktops."

"ATI have provided us with an excellent board for our customers," commented Dave Corcoran, Product Manager Gateway Europe,Middle East and Africa. "We have a long and durable relationship with ATI, this board is the next in a long line that consistently meets and exceeds all the requirements we have for an add-in graphics board."

RAGE 128 is designed for stunning 2D & 3D performance on mainstream PCs and is the first chip to support new DDR SGRAM and popular SDRAM memories. The RAGE 128 integrated motion compensation and iDCT technology produces full screen, full motion high quality playback DVD/MPEG2 video. Without the need for expensive hardware, ATI's DVD solution delivers superior performance for the home and business user.
