APPLE SmartShader 1.0 Demo & Screen Savers

The included applications highlight features of ATI's SmartShader technology. ATI demonstrates its latest vertex and pixel shader generation (called Shader 1.0 in DirectX terminology).

The following demos were originally written for DirectX 8 and the Windows operating system and have now been ported to the OpenGL ATI_text_fragment_shader for Mac OS X. The demos will all run by default at a resolution of 1024x768.

Note:

This software requires Mac OS X 10.2.8 or 10.3 and later.

All the demos require 256 MB or greater system memory.

A card with 128 MB of VRAM is recommended.

The screen saver option for resolution switching is not available in Mac OS X 10.2.8 (screen savers will always run at the current desktop resolution).
