| Q5: |
How can I measure
the ATI FireGL4's 3D performance? |
| A5: |
-
- For OpenGL, you can use the VIEWPERF
Test. Download it at the following website: http://www.specbench.org/gpc
- You can find the sample file
"gearduck.max" in 3D Studio Max. This sample file
contains an animated rubber ducky being "fricasseed"
between two cogwheels. If you run the animated
sequence as a preview, then it should run twice
as fast with 3D hardware support than with software
support.
Important: The option "Real Time" should
not be activated in the "Time Configuration" under "Play",
and "PAL" should be selected under the FrameRate
