AMD Imageon™ 2192 is a media processor for handheld devices specifically tailored for next generation, high-performance mobile phone applications. It provides fully self-contained audio and video processing for 3.1 Mega-Pixel Digital Camera, Camcorder, Video Streaming and Digital Audio Player applications bringing advanced multimedia experience to mobile phones. It features TV-Out capability as well as independent audio/video encode/decode paths and Picture-in-Picture support for video telephony applications.
Driven by the highly optimized Imageon™ architecture with enhanced PowerPlay™ power management technology, handheld devices will benefit from ultra low power dissipation resulting in much longer battery life.
