RAGE 128 SELECTED FOR NEW GATEWAY 'ESSENTIAL PC' AIMED AT THE CONSUMER
DESKTOP PC MARKET
ATI announced today that Gateway has selected ATI's RAGE 128 high performance
graphics chip, incorporated on a motherboard manufactured by Intel,
for the new Gateway Essential 466 consumer desktop PCs.

Essential PCs use the leading-edge ATI RAGE 128 VR chip, in conjunction
with the latest Intel 466MHz Celeron processor, to deliver the performance
features and benefits promised by the latest sophisticated graphics
and multimedia applications.
ATI's RAGE
128 graphics chips benefit from ATI's advanced 3D architecture, producing
industry-leading 3D graphics performance and a fully integrated 128-bit
graphics and multimedia accelerator that supports up to 16MB of graphics
memory.

the feature set of the RAGE 128, the authoritative Microprocessor Report
