    ATI Announces Support for AMD Athlon™ 64 Processors

    ATI products fully compatible with 64-bit PC applications

    Tuesday September 23, 2003

    MARKHAM, Ontario/ Munich, Germany– ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today announced that its full range of Radeon® desktop and mobile products offer complete support for the new AMD Athlon™ 64 processors announced today. The AMD Athlon 64 processor provides simultaneous 32- and 64-bit processing for desktops and notebooks. All of ATI’s current Radeon products support existing 32-bit applications and future 64-bit PC applications, delivering world-class performance.

    ATI’s award-winning Radeon products in the desktop and mobile spaces have garnered strong accolades from both critics and consumers. ATI’s desktop products, including the Radeon® 9700 PRO, Radeon® 9800 PRO and Radeon® 9600 PRO, provide an unprecedented level of cinematic-quality 3D graphics. ATI’s Mobility Radeon family offers new levels of gaming power, strong visual quality and long-lasting battery power for people on the move. In addition, ATI is currently working with a number of notebook manufactures, including Arima Computer Corporation, MiTAC Technology Corporation, and Uniwill Computer Corporation, to include ATI Mobility Radeon graphics with AMD Athlon 64 processors in future notebook releases.
